Since 1986, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Pittsburgh has worked to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. We have built or rehabilitated nearly 80 homes and have completed over 40 home repairs in partnership with our volunteers, local communities and low-income families in need. Our goal is to both help families and promote the revitalization of local neighborhoods on a larger scale.
In 2013, HFHGP expanded our scope to include programs that assist low-income homeowners with much-needed repairs. These new programs have enabled us to serve more families, impact a broader range of communities, engage additional volunteers, and have a greater positive impact on the Greater Pittsburgh area.
Whether you are an aspiring homeowner trapped in substandard living conditions, or own a house in need of repairs, HFHGP has a program for you. To begin, click on a link to the right.
*If you are facing an immediate housing crisis: Please note that the process of partnering with Habitat takes time. If you are currently facing a housing emergency and have an immediate need for shelter, please contact the United Way of Allegheny County at 412-255-1155.
We are pledged to the letter and spirit of U.S. policy for the achievement of equal housing opportunity throughout the nation. We encourage and support an affirmative advertising and marketing program in which there are no barriers to obtaining housing because of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, or national origin.
