Habitat Celebrates National Neighborhood Week with Valspar

May 5, 2016: Habitat teams up with Valspar to celebrate National Neighborhood Week!

In honor of National Neighborhood Week, employees from Valspar's Pittsburgh and Sewickley stores are heading to East McKeesport to help Habitat for Humanity rehabilitate a four bedroom home. The Valspar men and women will be painting the interior of the house, which, when completed, will be sold through a 30-year interest free mortgage to a qualified local family in need.

Across the country, over 500 employees from Valspar's 30 locations are working with Habitat to celebrate the week. In total, Valspar is donating more than two million dollars in monetary and product donations to support over fifty Habitat affiliates. This includes more than $54,000 in support for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Pittsburgh.

Valspar and Habitat for Humanity have a long standing relationship, with Valspar donating a total of 2.5 million gallons of paint to Habitat through the end of 2015. Valspar is a founding partner along with Habitat International of the A Brush With Kindness program, which has helped over 15,000 families with much-needed affordable home repairs since it's inception.
