Thank You for a Legendary Event!

January 9, 2015: Thanks to all who supported and attended our Legends of Past & Present Event!

On January 8, Habitat supporters gathered at the Roberto Clemente Museum for the third annual Legends of Past and Present fundraising event. The evening kicked off with a VIP reception to celebrate the guest of honor, former Steeler and Pro Football Hall of Famer Jerome Bettis “The Bus”. Guests mingled together with Jerome in the museum's beautiful wine cellar before joining the first floor activities, which included live action art by George Williams, a local artist with a flair for painting unique Pittsburgh sports figures and scenes. Local sports Legends Manny Sanguillen and Kent Tekulve were also in attendance.

The night unfolded with wonderful music, food, and drinks. During the event program, guests learned about the work of Habitat in the Pittsburgh community and about Habitat's current partner families. Generosity ruled the night as event attendees participated in raffle drawings, a silent and live auction, and donation opportunities. Habitat Executive Director Maggie Withrow presented Jerome with a magnum wine bottle to thank him for his participation in this year’s event.

A big "thank you" to all who helped make this evening a success!  A special thanks to the following sponsors: S&T Bank, K&L Gates, Denis & Fran Meinert, Ed & Kelly Gill, Peoples Natural Gas, PSP Metrics, Wabtec Corporation, TJS Insurance, CEI America, Eichenlaub Inc, Klavon’s Ice Cream Parlor, and PHFA.

Photos from the event will be posted shortly.
