30th Anniversary Feature: Nokihomis Randall

May 31, 2016: This year marks Habitat for Humanity of Greater Pittsburgh’s 30th anniversary!

Over the past 30 years, we have had the pleasure of working with countless volunteers and community partners in providing affordable homes and repairs to over 130 local partner families. For each month of 2016, we’ll be featuring a different partner family.

Nokihomis Randall

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Pittsburgh is grateful to have partnered with local homeowner, Ms. Nokihomis Randall. Nokihomis owns a home in Larimer and had water leaking through her back door. Being a senior citizen on a limited income, Nokihomis was not able to replace the door herself or afford the high cost of hiring a contractor to do so. Habitat teamed up with Nazareth Housing Services to repair the leak and install a storm door on the exterior of Nokihomis's home. Now Nokihomis has a safe, dry place to live for years to come!
