Wells Fargo & Company is a diversified financial services company that
is committed to satisfying it customers' financial needs. In its
corporate vision statement, the company says it wants to be known as
one of America's great companies.
Considering that leading financial publications already give the
company financial high marks-Forbes magazine rated its corporate
foundation the fifth most generous and Barron's rated it the 12th most
admired company in the world, according to the company website-Wells
Fargo is obviously well on its way to achieving its goals.
At Pittsburgh Habitat, we appreciate Wells Fargo commitment to helping
communities. This summer, Wells Fargo donated $10,000 toward our
mission of Building Homes with HEART in Allegheny County and more than
two dozen enthusiastic volunteers from the company's local office
worked on our Karl Avenue jobsite.
Wells Fargo is a member of the Financial Services Roundtable, which
also supports Pittsburgh Habitat, and has partnered with us on other
projects including our builds in Etna and our Kids Triathlon series.
We thank Wells Fargo for its continued support of our program and
salute its employees for caring about their local communities.

Ericsson didn't get to be a worldwide supplier of telecommunications equipment by settling for anything less than excellence from its employees.
Pittsburgh Habitat has been the beneficiary of that excellence this summer. About two dozen Ericsson volunteers came out in July and August to help us drywall our GMAC house on Karl Avenue in Duquesne.
We applaud Ericsson employees who put their hands and hearts to work for us. We should also note that the company's commitment to adequate, affordable housing in Allegheny County went beyond supplying us with labor.
As a Build Day sponsor, Ericsson contributed $2,500 to help cover the cost of building materials used on the house. If the job allows, Build Day volunteers may report to the jobsite one big a team. When volunteer interest exceeds our one-day needs-as was the case with Ericsson-we bring the volunteers out on staggered days so everyone can participate. Ericsson employees who hung, plastered and sanded drywall told us they found the Habitat experience rewarding and may return for future outings.
Sponsors like Ericsson make Pittsburgh Habitat houses a reality.
